‘The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI)’ has been conducting the ‘GREEN Olympiad’ since 1999 and attracts participation from lakhs of school students across India and abroad.
The ‘GREEN Olympiad’ aims to test the knowledge of students in the field of environment and in turn create awareness about issues touching their daily lives. The purpose of this event is to improve and expand the scope of environment education both at the national and international level and to develop human resources, institutional infrastructure and a diverse mixture of locale-specific, regional and national action plans to sensitize schools on the need for environmental protection.
Important points to note:
A minimum of 20 students from a school are required to register the school for the examination.
The examination is open to students of classes VIII-X only.
The examination can be taken either in English or in Hindi.
The examination will be held on 25 August 2012 and 29 September 2012.
The last date for receiving the duly filled registration forms is 23 July 2012.

News for all you students in CBSE class XII appearing for your History paper this year! Starting this year CBSE has modified the exam pattern for the class XII History exam. The following changes have been made in the paper that is scheduled to be held on Wednesday, March 14, 2012-
Each question in the long answer section would now carry 10 marks as compared to 8 marks earlier and the suggested word limit for each long answer has been enhanced to 500 words (earlier word limit 250 words).
The number of very short answer questions of 2 marks has been reduced from 5 to 3.

The much awaited announcement regarding CBSE class XII results has finally been made! CBSE class XII results will be declared on May 23, 2011. Students can access their results by logging on to any of the following websites and entering their Roll Number -
Students can also get their results on their mobile phones through an SMS. To obtain results on mobile phones students will have to type ‘cbse12<space>roll#’ and send it to ‘9212357123’. MTNL, BSNL, Aircel, Idea, Videocon, Tata Docomo, Airtel, & Vodafone users can obtain results on their mobiles by sending an SMS in the said format to 52001, 57766, 5800002, 55456068, 50000, 54321, 54321202 and 56735 respectively. To obtain results through IVRS students can call National Informatics Centre (NIC) number 011-24357270.
Class XII results for Patna region will be declared on May 27, 2011.
